U.S. engineering firm Bechtel has taken over site management for Poland's first nuclear power plant project, marking a transition from the design and planning phase to large-scale site preparation and construction. This move coincides with the start of work at the nuclear power plant site in Choczewo, a key development in Poland's long-term energy strategy. Bechtel will be responsible for overseeing construction operations, coordinating contractors, regulating on-site activities, and ensuring project safety standards. Currently, over 400 people are involved in the initial site engineering work, with approximately one-third of them being locally hired Polish personnel.
