AST SpaceMobile Q2 adjusted EPS misses by $0.77, revenue misses by $31.5M; company reiterates full-year revenue guidance, shares up 1.5% after hours
AST SpaceMobile (NASDAQ:ASTS) reported an adjusted loss per share of $0.77 for the second quarter, significantly wider than analysts' expectations of a loss between $0.26 and $0.32. Revenue came in at $31.5 million, falling short of the anticipated $35 million. Despite the weaker-than-expected results, the company reiterated its full-year revenue guidance of $150 million to $200 million for fiscal year 2026. The company stated that Q2 revenue was primarily driven by gateway deliveries and the achievement of milestones in U.S. government programs. Additionally, AST SpaceMobile has signed partnership agreements with over 60 mobile network operators globally, covering more than 3 billion subscribers, and boasts approximately $1.3 billion in contracted revenue backlog. The company currently has 13 satellites in orbit and is preparing to launch testing services with strategic partners. Following the earnings release, AST SpaceMobile's stock price rose 1.5% in after-hours trading.
