The Financial Services Commission (FSC) announced on September 3 that it is broadening the eligibility criteria for the second phase of easing the network separation rule. This expansion will include nonbank financial companies and electronic financial service providers, allowing 75 eligible entities (up from 49) to test frontier AI models for cybersecurity. The number of selected companies will increase from 10 to 15. The application period is from September 3 to 14, with selected companies receiving a one-year no-action letter in October.
