Elon Musk reposted a tweet, with Dave Lee suggesting Tesla leverage Cybercab experience to launch AI-driven consumer vehicles. Lee stated that Cybercab marks a new line in the sand for Tesla, as previous vehicles were primarily designed for human driving, while Cybercab and subsequent models are engineered from the ground up for AI driving, prioritizing passenger comfort, peace, and entertainment. He added that technologies like Cybercab's “unboxed approach,” RIM plastic outer shell, brake-by-wire, and next-gen drivetrain, thermal management, and electronics can be utilized for cheaper, more efficient, and reliable next-generation consumer vehicles, including 4-5 passenger and 6-7 passenger Cybercab derivatives, as well as small sedans, CUVs, mid-size sedans and SUVs, and large SUVs.
