Chinese new energy vehicle brand Huajing confirmed that the delivery of its Huajing S model has been affected and the delivery period extended due to a phased shortage of vehicle chips for the HarmonyOS cockpit.
Sources close to HUAJING confirmed the news to Wallstreetcn on September 8, stating that they are adjusting their plans with Huawei. HUAJING S's delivery growth slowed significantly in August, with only 103 more units delivered than in July. Previously, brands such as Buick and XPeng have also disclosed the impact of chip supply on production and deliveries. Yu Jia, Head of China Technology Research at UBS Securities, expects the global DRAM supply-demand tightness to persist until Q2 2028, and NAND Flash until at least Q4 2027.
