Türkiye's Tax Inspection Board (VDK) is stepping up efforts to audit high-income individuals, reportedly using formal tax inspections, requests for explanations, and monitoring activities. This year, 31.3% of large-scale taxpayers have been inspected, up from approximately 11% in previous years. The VDK also introduced its second High-Income Groups Monitoring and Compliance Programme, which has led to a combined $1 billion increase in declared tax base from participating taxpayers.
