Ondo Finance Denies Reports of Attempted Sale After Founder's Death
Ondo Finance, a tokenization platform, was reportedly shopped to potential buyers after the death of its founder and CEO, Nathan Allman, earlier this year, according to three sources familiar with the matter. An Ondo spokesperson denied this, stating that claims of a potential sale are "completely false." Allman passed away unexpectedly on May 25 without a will, leading to uncertainty regarding the ownership of his controlling stake in Ondo Finance and a significant amount of ONDO tokens. In early August, Allman's estate sued Ondo's interim CEO, Ian De Bode, alleging an illegal power grab and misappropriation of funds, sparking a fierce corporate control dispute.
