The Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs on Monday condemned Israeli far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir after he released a video showing him in prison telling imprisoned Hamas member Hassan Salameh that he "wants to kill him." Raed Abu al-Hummus, head of the Palestinian Authority, called Ben-Gvir's actions "the pinnacle of depravity and corruption." Hamas stated that Ben-Gvir's threats "portend new crimes against Palestinian detainees." Ben-Gvir has previously made multiple threats against Palestinian prisoners and called for their execution. He has also called for Palestinians in Gaza and the occupied West Bank to "emigrate" and in July unveiled a seven-year plan called "Disengagement 710," aimed at relocating Gaza's approximately 2 million residents through "voluntary migration."
