SpaceX has implemented a 100mph (160km/h) speed limit for drones connected to its Starlink satellite internet service in Ukraine, a move that Ukrainian officials say has disrupted battlefield missions and made it difficult to intercept high-speed Russian Shahed drones. A top Ukrainian official, Serhiy Beskrestnov, stated they were not informed of the Tuesday night restrictions. Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, suggested the US government might be responsible for the slowdown, clarifying that Starshield systems are government-controlled, while Starlink is a commercial service limited to civilian or defensive activities.
