Hong Ra-hee, widow of the late Samsung Group Chairman Lee Kun-hee and honorary director of the Leeum Museum of Art, was awarded South Korea's Mugunghwa Medal on Monday in recognition of her over four decades of philanthropic contributions in the fields of art, healthcare, and social welfare. The Mugunghwa Medal is the third-highest order of merit bestowed by the South Korean government to citizens, honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to public welfare and national development.
