According to Al Jazeera, Russian activist Adele Shoko stated on social media platform X that Israeli settlers attacked her and two colleagues in the West Bank village of Umm al-Khair. Shoko claimed that she, American journalist Jasper Nathaniel, and Israeli-Russian activist Andrey X were beaten and threatened by armed settlers, and their equipment and personal belongings were stolen. Jasper Nathaniel was pepper-sprayed and then taken away by Israeli forces, while Andrey X repeatedly lost consciousness in front of the police but was denied hospital treatment and instead taken to a police station for detention, where he is still being denied medical care. Videos posted by Shoko show several armed men beating Nathaniel and Andrey X. Previously, on October 16, in Abu Falah, northeast of Ramallah, masked Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian farmers, burning trees and throwing stones, resulting in Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine being beaten, robbed, and hospitalized, and a Palestinian man being shot by Israeli soldiers.
