Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid has accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s allies of attempting to "steal the election" and called on state institutions to resist. Lapid posted on X that Israel's democracy is facing a direct threat from "those who refuse to accept defeat." This comes after Netanyahu’s camp was accused of trying to invalidate election results through a series of allegations—claiming that Arab party ballots were manipulated via foreign interference—most of which have been dismissed. Lapid urged all state institutions to resolutely defy this attempt and pressed his colleagues in his bloc to form a government as soon as possible.
