Russian airstrikes targeting energy infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions of Ukraine have left approximately 850,000 residents without power. According to Ukrainian energy company DTEK and local officials, more than 600,000 people in the Dnipropetrovsk region lost power following overnight strikes, with repair work hampered by repeated attacks; another 250,000 people in the Kharkiv region lost electricity supply following infrastructure attacks on Sunday. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Russia of attempting to exert pressure through intensified airstrikes ahead of the trilateral talks in Abu Dhabi. Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that it will continue to strike fuel and energy infrastructure it deems to be used in supporting the Ukrainian military.
