The Ministry of Commerce announced that local authorities should make effective use of existing funding channels to strengthen the development of the recyclable resources recovery system. Business entities participating in the program must possess the capacity to recycle waste household appliances, balance the sale of new appliances with the collection of old ones, and proactively provide one-stop services for delivering new appliances and collecting old ones. Home appliance retailers are encouraged to collaborate with manufacturers and recycling companies to launch “trade-in” promotional campaigns, offering appropriate discounts to consumers who purchase new appliances and turn in their old ones. Based on the actual needs of the public, waste home appliance recycling models such as “integration of two networks,” “Internet Plus recycling,” and “mobile collection” should be developed in accordance with local conditions.
