The National Foreign Exchange Administration published its international investment position at the end of September 2025. The data show that at the end of September 2025, our external financial assets amounted to $1150.73 billion, external liabilities to $745.97 billion and net external assets to $40.47.6 billion. Of the external financial assets, $343.3 billion were direct investment assets, $195.2 billion were portfolio investment assets, $26.4 billion were financial derivatives assets, $24.64 billion were other investment assets and $36.88.9 billion were reserve assets, accounting for 30 per cent, 17 per cent, 0.2 per cent, 21 per cent and 32 per cent, respectively; of the external liabilities, $37.43 billion were direct investment liabilities, $23.27.2 billion were portfolio investment liabilities, $23.9 billion were financial derivatives liabilities and $13.65 billion were other investment liabilities, accounting for 50 per cent, 31 per cent, 0.3 per cent and 18 per cent, respectively.
