It calls for fostering the coordinated development of high-quality building materials production and application, and strengthening the alignment of standards and specifications in the construction and building materials sectors. Accelerate the research, development, and application of new building materials that are of high quality, energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and functionally effective. Vigorously promote materials and products that provide sound insulation and noise reduction, waterproofing and odor prevention, antibacterial and mildew-resistant properties, as well as thermal insulation. Continue to advance the certification and application of green building materials, support the procurement of green building materials for government-invested affordable housing projects, and encourage commercial housing projects to increase the proportion of green building materials used. Strictly enforce the system of witnessed sampling and on-site re-testing for building materials, and intensify quality supervision of key building materials such as steel bars, ready-mixed concrete, thermal insulation materials, waterproofing materials, and electrical wires and cables. Strengthen the management of fire-resistant and anti-corrosion properties of building materials, facilities, and equipment upon entry to construction sites.
