The EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Karras, stated that Russia’s claim that Ukraine recently attacked key Russian government facilities is a deliberate attempt to divert attention. Moscow is attempting to use this to undermine the tangible progress made by Ukraine and its Western partners in the peace process. Karras emphasized that since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Russia has been indiscriminately targeting Ukrainian infrastructure and civilians, and its baseless allegations should not be accepted by anyone.
