Ministry of Natural Resources: Continue to implement the new round of the Strategic Action for Mineral Exploration Breakthroughs and organize a special campaign to address the issue of exploration license holders “holding claims without conducting exploration”
On January 5, the National Natural Resources Work Conference was convened. The meeting emphasized the need to continue advancing efforts to increase reserves and boost production of strategic mineral resources. It called for strengthening monitoring and early warning systems for security risks related to strategic mineral resources, continuing to carry out a new round of strategic initiatives for breakthroughs in mineral exploration, organizing special rectification campaigns targeting exploration license holders who “claim but do not explore,” and improving support policies for breakthroughs in mineral exploration. Efforts to promote high-quality development of the marine economy will continue. Measures to strengthen the development, utilization, and protection of marine resources will be implemented, the quality of marine industry development will be enhanced, a new round of comprehensive marine surveys will be carried out, and the effectiveness of polar and ocean scientific research will be improved.
