Gossamer Bio secures up to $250m in funding to advance seralutinib for pulmonary hypertension, with $150m committed capital
The private placement includes an initial $25m closing, a subsequent $125m upon FDA acceptance of a new drug application (NDA) for seralutinib in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), and warrants exercisable upon FDA approval that could raise an additional $100m. The company plans to submit the NDA by September 2026. The funding, involving investors like EcoR1 Capital and RA Capital Management, is expected to sustain operations until 2028 and support clinical development and potential commercialization of seralutinib, which is intended for the treatment of PAH and pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD).
