The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has launched an investigation into Euro Exchange Securities UK Ltd (EES) for potential breaches of the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017. The alleged offences occurred between February 1, 2020, and June 4, 2026, and include failures to assess and mitigate money laundering risks, establish appropriate policies and controls, and maintain proper record-keeping. This investigation follows the FCA's earlier actions in June 2026, which included requiring EES to cease regulated electronic money and payment services, appointing interim managers, and later special administrators due to serious financial crime concerns.
