The upgrade, named Batch V1.1, allows up to eight transactions to be merged into a single operation, ensuring all transactions succeed simultaneously or are all canceled, thereby avoiding partial transaction failures. Ayo Akinyele, Ripple's Head of Engineering, stated that several commercial projects are already being developed around this feature. The amendment has garnered support from 30 of the XRP Ledger's 35 tracking validators, exceeding the 28 votes required for activation. A 14-day countdown began on September 15, with activation anticipated on September 29. Previously, Batch V1.0 was withdrawn due to the discovery of critical security vulnerabilities, and the new version has undergone extensive security review and redesign.
