Hong Kong's Acting Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Joseph HL Chan, stated at the "Redefining Hong Kong: Next Generation Wealth 2026" conference on September 21 that the city is well-positioned to support ultra-high-net-worth families. He noted that the number of single-family offices in Hong Kong has increased by 25% within two years, reaching over 3,380. Chan added that proposed tax concessions for alternative assets, including digital assets and green bonds, would further strengthen the city's role in generational wealth planning.
