He stated that war destroys natural ecosystems, pollutes soil and water, and introduces harmful chemicals, leaving lasting damage. Pezeshkian urged the international community to pay more serious attention to the environmental impacts of military conflicts in Iran and the region, specifically citing US and Israeli attacks on Iran’s industrial and energy facilities as causes of environmental destruction.
